since No! forms part of the phrase No, burn me! No! which should properly be quoted (thus forming part of the same sentence) given the context. However, since the author thinks italics are a nifty way to emphasize the drama of this particular character’s weak excuse for a curse, I must stick with

“No!”

as my proper contribution to this meme.
