Wedding Truths.

I have learned several incontrovertible truths about weddings, based on my own experience and observations:

  1. Only one decision matters: "I do".
  2. Nothing else matters.
  3. Those who fund an aspect of a wedding ultimately decide that aspect of the wedding.
  4. Those who fund an aspect of the wedding deserve to decide that aspect of the wedding.
  5. 24 hours after the deed is done (no, not that deed), no one cares about any wedding decision other than the one that matters.

too true! as someone planning a wedding and the grateful recipient of (unexpected) funding for much of that wedding, i can wholeheartedly agree with assertions 1-4. as for 5, i’ll know in 6 months. :-)

xopher
